Visiting the sanctuary

Pigs Peace Sanctuary is not open on a daily basis for visiting purposes. The animals here are to be looked after with loving care, not to be looked at. Education is one of the most effective ways to help the pigs and spread our message of compassion and respect for all animals, therefore we have scheduled special days to visit.

We limit the number of visitors per tour for the safety of the animals and to allow visitors a personalized tour of the sanctuary. The guided tour lasts about 1 hour.

Each tour is a $45.00 donation per person and is fully tax deductible. Select the number of tickets for any one date from the table below. You will receive an email confirmation that includes driving directions to the sanctuary. No ticket will be sent and no ticket is needed, your name will be registered on our list of visitors.

We are forever grateful to visitors who also bring a financial donation. It is thanks to your generosity rescued animals live a life of peace.

Please do not bring pets to the Sanctuary. Even though your pet may be very sweet, some of the animals here at the Sanctuary will be frightened by the presence of an unfamiliar animal.

Can I take the tour if I have difficulty walking?

Our goal is to someday have concrete paths to all areas but... Currently our ground is mostly level with dirt, grass, gravel and cedar chips. There are no steep hills or steps.

Can we bring treats for the animals?

Yes, but please do not feed any animal without permission and supervision. Many here are on special diets for medical reasons. The tour will end with the great fun of feeding treats to the pigs.

Some of the pigs'' favorite treats are carrots, apples, grapes, lettuce, bananas and unsalted peanuts. Most supermarkets stock 25 lb bags of carrots, which is the minimum needed to feed a single group.

Can children visit?

Yes. Children of all ages can visit. A ticket donation is required for every individual in your party.

Can I take pictures?

Yes! You will encounter many once in a lifetime photo opportunities at Pigs Peace Sanctuary.
